三保の松原 Miho no matsubara

Hi guys!

What's up!?

Like traveling ?

No?

Yes!?

Yes! traveling!!

Let me introduce "Miho no Matsubara".

You will be amazed.

In June 2013 "Miho no Matsubara" was registered as a component asset of Mt. Fuji World Cultural Heritage.
Miho no Matsubara has about 30,000 pine trees growing on the coast of about 7 km, the landscape.
the green of the pine forest the white waves to beat, the blue of the sea and Mt. Fuji has been expressed in Ukiyoe in Utagawa Hiroshige, many paintings and waka in numerous places.

One corner of Miho no Matsubara has a pine tree of Hagoromo, known for being a Celestial maiden legend, and "Miho hagoromo takigi-nou" is held in Matsumae every October.

There was a Tennyo(Celestial maiden) who came down to Miho. There is a "Hagoromo no matsu (pine tree of Hagoromo)", which is said to Put hang hagoromo(celestial raiment of an angel) she took off for bathing.
This pine tree has been replaced by old age, the current pine is the third generation.
Also, the piece of Hagoromo is stored in the nearby Miho shrine.
Although the legend of the Celestial maiden is in all over Japan, there are stories in Miho that are somewhat different from those of other celestial maiden legends.

Also, Miho Shrine, which is part of World Heritage constituent assets and popular as a power spot, is also nearby. "Kaminomichi (God's way)" which is the path of "Tokoyono Kami" is in the vicinity, and it will be fresh feeling if you walk here.
A tree-lined avenue, which is said to have age of 200-300 years, continues for about 450 meters.

On June 22, 2013, Mt. Fuji was decided to be registered as a World Heritage Site. At the time Mt. Fuji's recommendation for World Heritage registration was issued in April, "Miho no Matsubara exemption" was conditional.

However, On June 22 decision of the Mt. Fuji World Heritage registration, "Miho no Matsubara" To splashed off the exclusion recommendation, and registration of "including Miho no Matsubara" was decided.

It is clear that Miho no Matsubara is inseparable from "Mt.Fuji" from both faith and art. It was important to Make them understand that Japanese sense.
The delegation of the government made efforts to encourage each country locally.
As a result of such hot feelings to "Miho no Matsubara", it became a reversal registration at the last minute.

Besides, Shizuoka City was carried out picking up trash for landscape improvement.
Participants put pine leaves, plastic bottles, and empty cans into garbage bags for about 3 kilometers from "Hagoromo no matsu" to "Shimizu Lighthouse".

In addition, players of the local popular football team "Shimizu S - Pulse" also participated in garbage picking.

However, on the Miho coast registered as a World Heritage Site, erosion of the coastal sand beach has been regarded as a problem for nearly 40 years and countermeasures are being taken.
In countermeasures, heavy machinery and dump trucks are put in the sandy beach and near the coast.
The scenery of construction is not positive to the landscape, but we must avoid the conservation of the background behind the coast and the loss of sand beaches indispensable for beautiful landscapes.
In order to protect the sand beach which is the foundation of the local safety and landscape, we are implementing artificial countermeasures as a choice of bitterness.
The sandy beach of the Shimizu coast is gradually recovering from the west side. We will continue the countermeasures aiming at the day when artificial measures become unnecessary.

From now on, efforts to protect this beautiful "Mt. Fuji "and "Miho no Matsubara" are important.
